Just Show Up! Too simple, Perhaps. Yet this statement is true as Woody Allen states “80% of success is just showing up.”
Last week I jumped on a plane to head to Las Vegas for the New Media Expo as a first timer. It was just in January I Google’d “how to start a podcast” and the conference appeared with free registration. I signed up immediately and said to myself I have three months to figure out how I’m going to get to Vegas. Within a month I obtained a client that allowed me to pay for my flight and hotel. In the meantime I connected with people via Facebook groups, twitter chats, hashtags. By the time the conference arrived I had two more clients and a speaking gig. While there I put faces to names, met new people, knocked out one interview, launched my podcast Networking With Michelle, and received a continuous amount of support. Just Show Up and let the Success fall into place!
